The External Affairs and Legal Department of Vodafone Ghana has presented over 150 books covering various subjects to the St. Thomas Aquinas school at a short ceremony in Accra.

The gesture is in response to a TV3 news feature on the poor state of the school’s library; which was aired some weeks ago.

The donation is also part of the 25 impactful community projects the company’s employees are undertaking to mark 25-years of the Vodafone Group Foundation.

The team, led by External Affairs Director, and Head of Vodafone Ghana Foundation Nana Yaa Ofori-Koree, will also organise career counselling and mentorship activities for the students.

“As a socially responsive company, we remain committed to providing platforms for our employees to truly impact their communities. We believe the books donated will inculcate in students the habits of reading and researching, while improving the teaching and learning process, ” Nana Yaa Ofori-Koree said

The Headmaster of the school, Cyril Dadey who received the donations on behalf of the school commended Vodafone for the kind gesture.

“We are more than grateful the news item carried by TV3 has yielded results and today Vodafone Ghana is supporting our school with various books covering the SHS syllabi. FTK
If you aren’t at least peripherally aware of the FTK, there’s a good chance you’ll very soon get to know and hear about them in Ghana. The group, founded and operated by two Nigerian twin brothers, Falobi Taiwo and Kehinde, is already making waves with their style of music and performance in Nigeria.

If there's one word to aptly describe FTK’s artistic ingenuity and personal growth, it's certainly, hard work, as their passion for music led them to record their first single in the same year (2014) as they started out.

Falobi Taiwo and Kehinde (FTK) are both undergraduates of Babcock University, Nigeria where they are currently studying Mass Communication with bias for Advertising and Journalism respectively.

They ventured into the world of music and have so far released four audio singles and two videos.

On their plans for Ghana, FTK has this to say ‘’we want to make Ghana our second home/base. We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Ghanaians as we seek to position ourselves as total artistes.’’

‘’Our strength lies in our ability to play some instruments, understanding of music having gone through a music school, energetic but choreographed dance steps backed up with professional dancers as well as proven ability to perform with live bands," they stated.

FTK has just released "GBESOKE remix" in Ghana, featuring the popular Nigerian Act “91ce". It is a fast tempo celebration of their act which is directed at both the youths and the old alike.

They have previously released 5 singles with 2 videos in Nigeria while two (2) singles are also ready but yet to be released.
